Lithium & Rare Earth Exploration & Development
Dart Mining’s extensive exploration efforts in northeast Victoria have built an unrivalled geological knowledge of the region. Through early successful porphyry discoveries, the company developed an understanding of the region that evolved to include exploration for Li, Sn and Ta in LCT pegmatites injected from fertile granites. The Company has recognized considerable potential for the discovery of lithium, tin, tantalum and rare earth mineralisation in LCT pegmatites along the 50km strike of the Dorchap Dyke Swarm and has identified numerous lithium-bearing dykes outcropping and also in limited drilling.
Dart believes the demand for battery, or “technology” metals is set to increase with the predicted increase in the use of electric vehicles, renewable energy and other new technological applications. Dart’s pegmatite exploration portfolio is prospective not only for lithium, but has also revealed high levels of tantalum, tin, tungsten and a suite of Rare Earth Elements that all have potential uses in the increasing technology metals field
